2. Choosy Course. How to help high school students with autism to choose the right further education?

Abstract

Choosing the right further education is not easy for each high school student. For high school students with autism it is often very difficult to make the right choice. Especially with getting a concrete image of an educational environment based on only theoretical information. To help high school students with autism to make the right choice for further education we’ve developed, together with high school staff, students and parents, the Choosy Course. In the course we help the student in a concrete manner to choose and get the right education, based on their interests, capacities and available options. 75% of the 29 participants of the first three courses completed the course and made a weighed choice.
