How Can I Recognize that a student has mental health problems? – MH Awareness Seminar for Educational Staff

Abstract
The focus of the workshop is the content of an “ideal seminar” for educational staff,  including the essential elements of supported education. Part of the content of the seminar is the collaboration between Mental Health and Education and what the essential information, competences and attitudes are the educational staff should have to be helpful to students with mental health problems.
The workshop builds on several years of experience of the workshop leaders with the seminar “How Can I Recognize that a student has mental health problems?” in the environment of Czech educational system.

Learning Objectives
Objective of the workshop is the understanding of the minimum of Mental Health awareness (information, competence and attitude) educational staff need to have when involved with students with mental health problems.

Presenters
Klára Bratršovská & Martin Fojtíček work both for Ledovec
Ledovec o.s. has ten years of experience with the SEd program and with preparing and conducting general mental health awareness seminars and  turn key workshops for both teachers and students. Martin Fojtíček taught at grammar schools for Eight years and this experience made him to start first SEd project in Czech Republic. He is director of Ledovec, lecturer and supervisor, in last years he provided tens of seminars for educational staff.
